Constipated?

Im exactly 3 weeks post op and im constipated. Is this normal?

It took me forever to have normal b.m.'s! I would just watch the sugar in the juice. Otherwise, make sure you are getting enough water... That might have a bit to do with it.

I take an occasional fiber pill. You could add benefiber to drinks. I also like to eat fruit occasionally just for fiber. HTH. Oh--and water, of course! Is your ticker right? You lost 50 lbs in a month? I need to stop looking at people's tickers.

I'd recommend Flax Seed Oil capsules so when you do go, it won't be so hard on you.

Very normal. I took Senakot for mine and since taking the second one i haven't had to take any more as they seemed to sort out my going. I only go once a week mind you but i was only going every four days before my op so once a week i'm fine with.

Miralax powder will help or a spoonful of Milk of Magnesia before bedtime.

My Dr. recommended Miralax powder that you mix with liquid. I too have had the same problem. That may be why I haven't lost as much weight lately.
