Changes

I am down 26 lbs since surgery and I had lost 27 before surgery so a total of 53 lbs. My confidence is definitely better than it was before. I feel better about myself. I know I have a long way to go still but I also know that I am working on it and that makes me feel better. So lately I have been making some changes. I got my hair done the other day and I started wearing makeup more often. Make-up for me consists of mascara and eye shadow because I'm not really into having much more than that. People are noticing my weight loss. I keep hearing, "you are so much smaller than when I saw you last week" or " you are losing so fast" and "your face looks so thin" I could take offense to any of these but I don't because it is all true. I wanted to post some pictures so you can all see some of the changes I have made.

The picture of my husband and I was 6 years ago or so. It is weird because I was actually about 260 lbs at that time. 20 lbs less than I am now. The one with my hair back and just me is the day before surgery in my hotel room. I weighed 306lbs. This is what I looked like almost every day, no matter where I was going. I just threw my hair back in a ponytail and wore no makeup. The third picture was taken a couple days ago right after I got my hair done. You can tell the difference in confidence just by looking at me. =)

I am thinking about getting my nose pierced. We have all heard of the mid-life crisis. Is there such thing as a sleeved-life crisis. lol. I wouldn't consider it a crisis but I am definitely making a lot of changes other than losing weight.

As for the "sleeved-life crisis", I noticed myself cycling through several stages the last 10 months. But I always returned to my stiff-laced self. I'm very even keeled!

You are a beautiful girl, but now you are feeling beautiful on the inside. Little rewards are fun!! If a nose piercing does it for you, go for it. Personally I booked a trip to the South Carolina in the spring for a girlfriend getaway!! Trying on clothes that I never thought would fit again is also a big motivator. I have officially run out of clothes that were too small. Time to shop!! Enjoy the ride, you look beautiful!!

You look great and if a nose piercing is what you want then go for it. Mine is wearing boots. I always thought my legs were too big for boots but now that I have slimmed down I bought myself 3 pair in different colors and I look damn good in them!

Your hair color is beautiful! I have similar in color, not so vibrant! Did you die? what is the box color? Or is the red natural?

The red is natural. I only put highlights and black underneath.

You're doing great, so much weight loss so fast. You can see the weight loss in your face. Keep up the good work. I go to the Dr to get weighted March 25, so till then it's big ? My scales at home are not acuarrate , so I will not get on them.
