Default The Pirate Bay for 15 years has not been able to kill

The Internet continues to evolve at an unprecedented rate, but one thing about it remains unchanged: The Pirate Bay
One day in 2009, in a quiet corner of my school's reading room, I loaded up my life-beating laptop, making sure no one was peeping over my shoulder. I knew it was risky to do this using school WiFi, but it still seemed safer to do it there than at home. All it took was to go to one site and run one program on the computer. As a result, I could get my hands on almost any digital content for free.

I was not aware that the site I was using - The Pirate Bay - would be involved in serious legal turmoil due to millions of users like me. I also did not expect at all that ten years later I would be using the same site as if none of this had happened.

Thanks to the explosive development of the Internet in the early 2000s, I became acquainted with many things: search engines, pornography, chat rooms, online stores. But nothing caught my attention as much as piracy - it seemed like it was just an embellished label for illegally downloading copyrighted content. I grew up in the 90s, a consumer of videotapes and audio tapes. And now there is an alternative - a treasure trove of songs, TV shows and movies, ready to download in just a few clicks thanks to the magic of peer-to-peer file sharing. For a kid with the least amount of free money to spend on CDs, this was a stroke of luck. The problem was that many of the early programs featured viruses, unreliable files, and unstable communications.

And then there was The Pirate Bay.

Thank you very much for describing the history of such a thing as Pirate bay. I actively download various movies and music from this site. Still, recently I had to install a Pirate bay proxy from this site -- https://avoidcensorship.org/ to use this service again. As many people know, pirate bay is banned in many countries because on this site, and you can download a lot of movies, music, and programs for free. And, of course, monopolies like Netflix, Disney, or Spotify don't like it, and they try to close this site by any means, but I think it's impossible.
