Any tea can cause vomiting if you drink it in large quantities and on hunger. When you are hungry, the stomach begins to produce more bile. This bile from the stomach rises closer to the esophagus and causes vomiting. I never drink green tea when I'm hungry.
I enjoy peppermint tea, but I haven’t had any since being sleeved almost two weeks ago. In the past it has caused me heartburn.
Since the surgery I have been drinking mostly chamomile tea—herbal only—and adding hydrolized protein powder to it.
