    Default 14 weeks post-op

Just curious how many people are or remember feeling hungry around 14 weeks post-op? Can you give me an idea what you are eating in a day? It's slow going learning what foods I can tolerate. I'm focusing on protein and the things we were taught in nutrition classes. Any replies would be appreciated.

Were you given a plan from your bariatric team? I think by 14 weeks you should be out of the soft foods stage. Eat what you can tolerate. Pay attention to portions and remember, protein first.

Early on really dense protein (like meat) was a little much. A bite or two and I was stuffed. I found any sort of seafood much easier to eat, like salmon, scallops, etc. Experiment to see what works for you! Protein first, then veggies, then good carbs if room. Still a rule I follow. I don't remember when my hunger returned, but protein is typically the answer for that.

Thanks for the replies! I just had my 3 month post op visit and the surgeon said I was doing well. Just like your answers, he said more protein would help the hunger.

Glad that you are doing well. You will be just fine as long as you follow your surgeons plan. :-)
