Default Binge Eating During the Pandemic

Many of us have developed different eating habits this pandemic. It's expected that we don't have much to do and think about especially the first months of lockdowns. How did you manage your weight?

Are you still binge eating or have you made a healthy change to your diet already?

    Hi!

During the first months, I was binge-eating but then I started to notice how awful it made me feel everyday, so I started to think healthy. I'm doing some home workouts and I created a diet plan. http://socalgastroenterologist.com/t...d-19-pandemic/ Here's one article that might help. This pandemic caused so much health issues aside from the virus. I can only imagine how many people have weight problems because of it.

I didn't binge eat, but snacking was becoming a regular habit that I needed to stop. Too easy working from home and having easy access to the pantry and fridge. I now make my lunch and planned snacks just as I would if I was going to work and that has certainly helped. Still requires quite a bit of will power not to eat due to boredom. Have started crocheting again and have lots of books to read. Also it's better weather here now so much more inviting to go out have a walk and get some fresh air.

That's great. Walking is really good and very relaxing.

We really have to make ourselves busy. I'm thinking of painting. I wouldn't want to eat if my hands are all covered in paint.

During isolation, I only did what I ate. I was bored. It lasted about 2 weeks, but I pulled myself together when I saw the numbers on the scales. So I stopped.
