Default 3 years out and I am miserable

Hi everyone. Have not posted in a very long time. But, I need some like minded people to help me out. I sleeved in August of 2017. I started at 275, my lowest weight was 195. And I am now back at 230 and miserable. I am definitely not drinking enough and I am snacking. Most of the world has been home since March and I can't seem to not snack. I have an appt with my dr on Thursday but I don't know what to do in order to help myself. To make matters worse I have severe arthritis in both knees and the cortisone stopped working on the right knee for the most part. I am only 46, way too young for a knee replacement. I need to get this weight off. It feels impossible.

    Help,
    Michele

    Michele,
All I can say is that all of us at one time or another, have been where you are. You just have to buckle down and get back to basics. It seems like that is the simple answer, but it is as simple as that. Snacking is my nemesis as well, you have to fight through it and remember the reasons why you had this surgery in the first place. You know you can do it, now do it! Good Luck!

    Hi Michele

It's not impossible, but it is hard to do.

It may be simple in theory but getting your head around it is the biggest thing.....and not easy to do. You've got to really want it!
You know what you need to do and stopping snacking and drinking more water is a good start.

I have been working from home and yes, the temptation of the pantry is real. Make sure that there is nothing tempting in there - seriously, get rid of it if you can....or lock it away and give someone else the key! You need to do whatever it takes to get rid of the temptation.

Are you able to exercise in a swimming pool? Even walking up and down the length would be something. Ask you dr for suggestions when you see him/her.

The good news is that you have done this before and you can do it again.

All the best, and keep us posted on how you are doing.

You're still down 45 pounds, that's a lot! Everyone here knows what they are talking about, you just have to get your head straight and get back on track. You can do it!
