    Default Sargento balanced breaks

I need help understanding labels and stuff . My wife picked up these Sargento balanced breaks snacks . Does anyone here use them or due I need to stay away from them . Thanks you all . I don't post much but have gotten lots of good advise and help from reading here . But can't find anything on these so called balanced snacks . Was surprised before that a lot of those healthy snacks were just regulare candy bars and stuff in disguise . I had the sleeve in April and was at 305, now am at 250 . The weight is slower coming off right now and want to make sure I am doing my part to keep losing .

Haven't heard of them sorry but you are right to be careful of anything new and investigate if you can.
Snacking in general isn't a great idea and if you do perhaps choosing some good protein snack would be the first option.
Lots of "healthy" cereal type bars are just candy bars in disguise.

KiwiGal they are a small container and it has about 15 count 1/4 inch by 1/8 inch squares of cheese , 6 cashew halves , 8-10 raisins . It says 180 calories , 7 g protein , 12 g total fat ,20 cholesterol , 190g sodium , 12 carbs , 7g sugar . found this on the box the 3 small containers came in , it had been tossed in the trash . The food container didn't have any of nutrition value on them .

I considered trying them but my nutritionist said to avoid items with added sugar. Not sure if the 7g is added or not? Also seems kinda high in fat. Just my opinion, but I’m only a little over a month into this myself.

At face value they don't look too bad although 180 calories is quite a lot for a snack. The fat will come from the cheese and cashews, the sugar from the raisins.

My snacks, if I have them, usually consist of a mini Babybel Light cheese, a few sticks of celery and carrot, (about 70 calories) or a small piece of fruit (1/2 banana, mandarin, plum or half peach etc in season), or maybe a thin rice cracker with a smear of peanut butter or cottage cheese.

It's actually really easy to get into the habit of snacking and then it ends up being grazing and you are eating more than you realise.
I was told to try and avoid snacks, and if I had to make them around 100 calories.

Some days you just need a little extra something to get you through the day though. :-)

I would ask my nutritionist if I was you so that you keep on track.

I love the Balanced Breaks. I do not buy the sweet ones. I purchase the white cheddar cheese with cashew and raisins/cranberries.

I've used them. Not often. They have protein with the cheese and nuts so I don't think it' a "bad" snack. My problem is I can't eat just one.

Yes the white cheese and cashews is the one I have . They are handy cause it's already portioned out and ready to go . If I was trying to portion myself it would be more then 180 calories . WE have some pita chips in a bag and I need to watch myself to only get a few chips and not a hand full at a time . Old habits still die hard . Started 315 now 250 . The weight coming has slowed down and I want to keep doing my part . Last month doctor/nutrition said needed more protien was why weight was slowing down . I don't understand it all but can only try and keep track . I had"t been guess maybe that was why weight slowed down . Thanks for the input folks it helps .
