Red face New to forum and post sleeve

    Hi All!

I'm new to the forum and am 5 days post surgery, which I had done at West Roxbury VA Medical Center. Great group of people! I live in the Northeast USA with my puppies and lots of family around for support but nothing beats other people who have been through it.

My biggest concerns are making sure I'm following the prescribed dietary restrictions and recovering from the procedure without problems. I also want to make sure I lose the weight, duh, and keep it off, lol. So I figured the more support I found the better.

    Trudy

    Hi Trudy

    Welcome.

There are lots of great people here happy to offer support and advise.

I'm sure by now you are getting into the swing of things. Follow your surgeons instructions, sip, sip, sip water all day and walk as far and often as you can - increasing time and distance as you feel able.

This is such an exciting time :-)

Good job Trudy. You will do well. A positive attitude goes a long way. Follow the program, drink your fluids, walk, go through the diet programs. For me the best part was a quick weight loss. I lost a lot in the first two months then settled into a consistent regular monthly loss. I did not have those must have cravings and struggled with some old favorites. I changed my eating habits and it went very well. You CAN do this. And remember the most important thing YOU ARE WORTH IT! You just took one of the most important steps in your life. Good job.
