Default Gastric Sleeve post op 4 weeks

Hello all, my name is Kotasummer I had my gastric sleeve done June 24, 2020 prior to the surgery I was 214; I’m nearing 4 weeks and am at 198 lbs...I do my best to follow the diet however I get full so fast I don’t take in the required amount of protein. I don’t know if this pace is good. I see my doctor August 1. I would love to read from anyone who feel as if their weight loss is slow or stalled post op; any advice will be welcome and appreciated.

16 pounds in a month is not slow! You're doing great! You do get full quite fast in the beginning, so I supplemented the protein drinks to be sure I met my protein goals. Best of luck to you. Have fun!

Sound like you're doing really well. It's hard to believe, but the weight will come off. Don't worry. Sounds like you're doing well.

That pace is amazing! Keep up the good work. It is hard at the beginning to get all the requirements in but it will happen.

Thank you! I have been doing the shakes as well; I tried to incorporate soup but that seems to make me full very fast as well. This is definitely a transition for sure!

Thank you so much! It is truly a lifestyle change; my blood pressure is finally normal (without the swollen feet) and being that I have not eaten sweets I noticed that the pains that I would have (especially in the hand area) no longer exist. I started to power walk daily for 30minutes something I thought I could never do!

OMG it is hard; it is basically adopting a whole new discipline; I am powering it through because I do feel the change more so as it relates to my health which feels different in a good way. Thank you for your support!

You're doing well! Just follow the program. And eating small amounts at a time, even if you space them out, helps your stomach heal. Best! Keep posting.

Thank you Annie! I am definitely eating small amounts at a time; even drinking fluids-I am training myself to take my time; I have always been a gulper and the first few weeks were so hard!
