Default Crunchy - so tired of soft and liquids

I am a week post op and looking for something that dissolves AND still gives that crunch. Is it okay to have pork rinds that has zero carbs. Anything else you have found?

Personally I wouldn't be looking to eat anything that wasn't on the meal plan from my surgeon if I was only 1 week out from surgery.
I assume that you have been given a plan? You need to give your stomach time to heal.
The crunchy stuff might just have to wait a little while.

It is super important to follow every rule they gave you, especially the first 6 weeks. Your stomach is healing. That's why (for me) the first 2 weeks were liquid, 3rd week super mushy food, and so on. By 6 weeks I was cleared for anything.

If you eat something crunchy now the food could get stuck in your staple line and you would be back in the hospital with an infection or worse. Don't do it!

I agree with the above posts. Stick to the plan that you have been given. The better you will heal. I had to be on liquids only for 4 weeks, then move onto semi liquid for 2 weeks and then another 4 weeks o mushy food. It is a challenge but it is doable and the end results are worth it. Good luck.

    Pork Rinds????? No. Just No.
Please follow the guidelines given by your bariatric team. Just think. Would you give a one week old baby pork rinds? Your new stomach is one week old. You have to go through the stages of eating just like a baby. Be patient. Good Luck!

    Also echoing the same advice.
Not just the first 10 days, 2 weeks.
The sleeve is only a tool that works as well as you use it the correct way (sorta like you can use a lamp as a door stop or a weapon, but not why you bought it).

Weight loss still requires doing things differently than we did before. I will be 3 years out, and only up and done 2 lbs the last 2 years. Yes, I still track. Yes I make a few infrequent SMALL exceptions. But for the 97% of my life, protein, water, dense carbs like vegetables.

And yes, I missed crunch the most!
    [I]HW: 240 lbs SW: 199 lbs GW: 140 lbs

    1 MO = 167.0 2 MO = 156.4 3 MO = 148.4 4 MO = 140.6
    5 M) = 136.0 6 MO = 130.0
    1 YR = 122.0 2 YR = 140.00 2.5 YR = 139
Happy with my weight; happy with my size; over-the-moon with my health!

Hey I can understand the temptation but I feel like it is not worth breaking the plan. I would stick to the plan. It will benefit you more in the future.
