Default Retired with nothing but time now!!

Hi my name is Tony and I had the sleeve surgery in 2014 and have lost 133 lbs total and kept it off. I started this journey at 291 lbs at 5' 8" tall and I now weigh 158 lbs. There have been ups and downs along the way, but I figured I would come here and help any way I can.
I just retired at the end of 2019 and I now have the time to devote to things I truly care about.
After 33 plus years in law enforcement it is now time to slow it down and enjoy life!!

Retired too and it's so much fun. Gives more time to hike, walk, bike, ski, whatever. My husband retired and lost about 50 pounds! Of course his typical day involves a 5 mile hike with me and then a 30 to 40 mile bike ride without me. We have been traveling so much, it's been amazing. (Not now, but we'll be back on the road soon I hope). Even summited Kilimanjaro last August! Enjoy. Follow our motto of doing crazy shit as long as we can.

    Hi And welcome.

You certainly should enjoy your retirement. Do as much as you want to when you want to.
Hopefully once these crazy times are over it will be easier to get out there and do anything and everything that you desire :-)

    Tony,
Welcome. It takes a bit to regroup after you retire (well it did for me).
But honestly, I still do a calendar with a loose to do list (unless someone else is impacted if I don't get to it).
It's a time to get acquainted with yourself, learn new stuff, explore and reshape inside and out.

    It's a great forum! Welcome

Go back to basics Teri. I had crept up to 191 lbs from my low of 162 lbs. I had to re-focus and dedicate myself to getting back to what worked to get me here. I am now back down to 156.5 lbs and look better at almost 60 years old then I did in high school!!!
