Default Starting Pre-op For Round 2

Hi everyone. Today is my first day of pre-op for my revision on March 11th. I canít believe this is happening. I donít remember being this scared the first time. I think the knowledge I have now that I didnít have 6 years ago when I got my sleeve is scaring the shit out of me because now I know what it is like to succeed and fail at this and I donít want to fail again. The pre-op diet was SO easy for me the first time but Iím having a really hard time wrapping my brain around starting it today. Itís like itís one step closer to something that I might fail at again. Does that make sense?
Anyway, I just wanted to get this out. Iím doing the whole journaling thing to deal with food and emotions. I canít really eat this fear away so I am getting it off my chest and hoping someone out there has any words of wisdom they can share...

You donít have to be perfect. You just need to be better.

    Revision stats:
    3/2/20 Pre-op: 197.5

    jessie,
I always say that if you aren't nervous about something big that you're about to do, that you usually make a big mess of it. I am sure that you will do fine. You more or less know what to expect and maybe that's why you're a bit more nervous this time. I am sure that you will be fine. The pre-op is just your first step!

Been doing lots of lurking but not much contributing. I have to jump in on this. Jess has had a ton to deal with the last few years. It’s not surprising that there’s been a weight gain. However, hers is a cautionary tale too. Even at six years out, you have to be vigilant. I know I am.

Jess, you having the procedure here in Htown? If so, your neck of the woods or the med center?

Dr.Vuong always says, "Don't get cocky" no matter how many years you've kept off your weight!

    Hey tinman!
    Sharon,
I totally agree! You have to remain viglilant and you can't get cocky. This is just a way of life. You have to stay on top of it and do what you're supposed to do to stay healthy.

Hey you! Yep, I’ve had a little to deal with. Lol. I haven’t done so well with it but I’m not giving up. Yep, I’m having it done in Houston. Medical Center, same doctor. He’s also fixing a hernia I now have. Lovely!

    PM me. TTYL.
