i am coming to mexico for dr almanza
but i did consult w a dr here in connecticut
he told me NO CARBS EVER
my question
1) i have seen many people reverse diabetes and obesity w plant based diet which is NO meats so limited protein and all carbs
(even tho the carbs are veg) is this ok?
2) are oats ok? they are carbs but they are starch resistant/low gi also w cinnamon to mitigate blood sugar spike - is this ok?
3) some drs say protein lean only...yet protein alone causes insulin response and some say FATTY meat is better FATTY meat causes less insulin response.
I am asking here because i have had different doctors and different friends tell me different experiences
so in summary
can i do veggies and oats and NO animal products?
if i do pro only can i do fatty proteins is that better than lean?
egg whites better than egg w yolks etc?
full fat cottage cheese or yogurt better than low fat / fat free etc?
