Finally a Post!!

Hello everyone

This is my first!! I have been using this site for some great information!!
I had my sleeve done 03/20/19. It has changed my life. I wish I did it 10 years ago. I am down 90lbs since pre surgery weight and 120lbs from my heaviest weight. I can not believe the energy I have. I am off all medications. I am a type 2 diabetic my a1c is 6.1 no BP in normal range. I exercise everyday. I feel like I got my life back. Thanks to everyone who’s advice I have used on this forum!!!

HI joekel welcome. Well done on your achievement so far. It is a wonderful tool and I agree with your sentiment about wishing I had done it years earlier. I am almost 2 years out and I am so happy I had it done. No for the maintaining, which I think is probably more difficult as time goes by, but my eating has changed and what I like and don't like has changed as well. I think the sleeve is a tool to use sensibly and be able to go out and eat 'normally' within reason.The only co morbidity I had was sleep apanea and I am now free of that. Keep going and you will reach your goal in no time.

Isn't it fun!?!? Just remember the "work" never ends, but when you continue to make healthy choices it becomes a habit. I'm 6 years out and still learning.
