Unhappy Too much to handle too much to hold

I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH ISSUE RELATED TO THIS WEIGHT GAIN. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND PTSD. FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS I HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS DIETS ACTUALLY HAD THE SMART LIPO PROCEDURE And THE WEIGHT HAS RETURNED. I LOVE TO DO THINGS, MY HUSBAND AND I HOST PARTIES, RECRUIT TALENT, AND FLIP HOUSES. HOWEVER, I HAVEN'T HAD THE ENERGY TO DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I STAY TIRED AND IT'S LIKE I CAN'T GET ENOUGH SLEEP. I TAKE A ASPRIN A DAY TO LOWER MY RISK OF HEART DISEASE, YET I EXPERIENCE SHORTNESS OF BREATH WHEN I AM DOING SIMPLE CHORES LIKE VACCUMING THE FLOOR. MY NAME IS KINTA AND I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW FROM PEOPLE WHO COULD SHARE MY PAIN WHAT I CAN BENEFIT FROM LOSING THIS WEIGHT IF THIS GASTRIC SLEEVE WOULD BE MY SAVING GRACE. tHANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR LISTENING

    Bless your heart, Miss Kinta!
I had heart "discomfort" doing things like walking a slight incline from the parking to my office. And shortness of breath. When I went to cardiologist, they did a cardiac cath & immediate stent. I had some definite and fairly severe blockages. I continued along that line, along with HBP, high cholesterol, Type II diabetes and pretty severe angina. And 17 meds.

I had the VGS on 10/5/2017 and have never felt better since I was in my 30s (after having all 4 of my kids).
I have NO HBP, my cholesterol is low, no diabetes, and take 2.5 mg of a BP med to control angina.
Instead of 17 meds, I take 4 (thyroid, small statin, blood thinner, and BP). PLUS my vitamins.

I lost a great deal of weight quickly, as some do. I have maintained between 125-135 for 2 years. Lots of energy, and way b etter health.

My only regret is I didn't do it sooner! My ologists (I see 7 specialist with multiple chronic health issues, mostly genetic) and they have all been pleased and amazed.
    [I]HW: 240 lbs SW: 199 lbs GW: 140 lbs

    1 MO = 167.0 2 MO = 156.4 3 MO = 148.4 4 MO = 140.6
    5 M) = 136.0 6 MO = 130.0
    1 YR = 122.0 2 YR = 140.00 2.5 YR = 139
Happy with my weight; happy with my size; over-the-moon with my health!

I think it will save your life! I had the sleeve surgery over 6 years ago and have been at a healthy weight for over 5. You have to do the work, but the sleeve is the most amazing tool invented. I still have to continue my healthy lifestyle, if I went back to eating junk the weight could easily come back on.

I recommend Dr. Voung videos on YouTube. He gets into the mental aspects of surgery more than the typical bariatric surgeon.

Good luck with your decision, but like Annie, my only regret is I didn't do it sooner.

Like everyone has said, my regret is that I didn't have surgery sooner. Good Luck in whatever you decide to do.
