    Default almost 2 years

I had my last consultation with dietitian today, I have formally been discharged. She said i had done extremely well and that not many people lose 100% of their excess body weight. She also measured my body fat percentage, bmi, etc and all were within the ideal position. I am really thrilled and am just hoping to stay as I am. She said it is normal to go within a few kilos depending on the time of month etc. She also suggested I only weight myself once a week, but I said I can't do that as my weight is my indicator to tell me if I have to cut back on certain foods. She is very happy with my current weight, however I would l still like to lose another 4kg if I can. I would then be the perfect weight and be able to fluctuate under 60kg. I have my daughters wedding at the end of the year and hopefully I can maintain this weight or lose a bit as I have seen a dress I like and its very tight fitting. One of the best things about losing all this weight, is being able to go shopping and feel and look nice in 'normal' size clothing. I am now working on my husband to let me have a tummy tuck, so that i don't have an apron overhang. I have to wait and see.

    Congratulations.
But you are not discharged from the group, lol!
Look at long timers with success and see what they are doing to maintain.
I'm a little over two years...but in not a veteran, yes.

Annie, i hope not from the group, the group keeps me motivated and I love hearing how well everyone is doing, especially the 'old' timers.

Good for you! I do think those of us who lose all our weight are in the minority. Also those of us who do not regain the weight we lost. I also like weighing daily; it helps me get control of a few pounds before they become a lot of pounds.

HI Sraeber, I am hoping to be one of those who don't gain weight back. I agree the weighing everyday keeps me on track, because if i go up too much I can cut back and lose it quickly. scales are definitely my friend. You are one of the people I love to follow and keep me motivated and you look amazing.

    Hi Elllie

How wonderful that you have achieved your desired results. I'm so very happy for you.

This forum is great as I am still learning new things every day (2 1/2 years out). In fact I have just switched from a protein shake for breakfast to a green smoothie thanks to Sraebaer and Dr Vuong! Sharon pointed him out to us and he has some good ideas. The protein shake wasn't sustaining me anymore but the smoothie is great - and tastes really good too :-)

Lovely to see you still here :-)

    Green smoothie basic:
    Blueberries/raspberrie/cherries (what ever type)
    Spinach or power greens
    soy mlk
    hemp seeds
Banana (or if you can't do banana 1/2 avocado)

He doesn't exactly measure, but I would guess 1/4 C of the berries, about 1 C of the spinach, maybe 3-4 oz of soy milk and 1 TB or less of hemp.
Sharon, is that about what you think?

I use the 1/2 avocado, and I add a couple of ice cubes because I don't like the thickness of icecreamy stuff ever.

I found cherries were way too expensive where we live, but I like blueberries.
