Dialted esophagus

Hello LapBanders or Sleevers!
does anyone here have a dilated esophagus from Lap Band or Sleeve and had to remove the Lap Band it because of it? Did you try radiofrequency ablation to repair it? Please answer
I removed my LapBand because of damaged and dilated esophagus. Now I am waiting for the esophagus to heal so I can have Gastric Sleeve done.

I suffered from a dilated esophagus for over 2 years with the band. I finally switched to the sleeve last March. I have many mental issues to still overcome regarding food but after a year I am already halfway to my goal. I did not try ablation to repair, after struggling for 10 years with MANY band related issues I just had it removed and the sleeve done in one surgery.

I am happy with the sleeve, I lost my weight quickly and felt good about my chances, however...I did not deal with the WHY. Why do I overeat, why do I eat when I’m sad, stressed, bored... I have hit a plateau where I am not losing (and not gaining!) weight because I am eating too many carbs and sugar. My grace period will end soon where the weight just comes off and I will have to work even harder. This is not a result of getting the sleeve but my own deficiencies. Once I figure out the whys, I think I will be more successful. I can’t stress enough to drink your fluids and eat your protein and minimize carbs. My darling husband bought me a new bike so once the weather gets warmer I hope to get out with a group and start riding. I’m also going to see a therapist to work through my demons and hopefully this will help. Good luck!
