OK, it's a cold, snowy day here and I've been lazy. Found Dr. Vuong videos on YouTube. Guys, he is AMAZING. I've been so complacent at 6 years out, thinking I know it all. I'm maintaining my weight pretty well.
I have learned so much today! I feel like I'm starting this journey from scratch. It's like I have a new free therapist. Not to mention he is fricking hilarious.
His ideas of what to eat are totally different. May be time to switch things up. He talks about a green smoothie for breakfast, salad with protein for lunch, and lean protein for dinner. No snacking. He feels a BMI of 20 should be our goal. (Not there).
He talks about how ridiculous those statistics we are told before surgery are, the ones that say we will lose 65% of our excess weight on average. He claims only losing that much would mean we are still quite overweight.
Anyways, food for thought. So many new ideas. It's been a fun afternoon. Interesting, funny, insightful guy.
