Default My journey starts February 3, 2020

    Hello,

My journey will begin on February 3, 2020 . I’m nervous and and excited at the same. I don’t to fail at this. I know it is going to be tough but I am up for the challenge. Any advice for after surgery and exercise? Thanks

    Marvin

Welcome and best of luck to you! Exercising is vital to success, but you may need to work up to it. My program required 60 minutes of walking at 3mph. Right now you might not be able to do that. That’s ok. Split it up to 10 minute segments if you need to, but get moving. Setting goals are good, but don’t set unrealistic ones. Better to take them on in smaller bites (just like eating after surgery - smaller bites).

Welcome to the rest of your life... a very different life that will allow you to live your best life. This is the best road that I have ever traveled. To say it was a breeze, I'd be lying to you. But, the sleeve made it possible to loose more weight than I could ever think possible.

Best of luck, you will do great!!

The best advice I could ever give is FOLLOW THE PLAN!!!! Do it exactly how they lay it out for you! They have th research to back that plan and put it in place for a reason. Be ritualistic, militaristic, about following it! Before you know a year will go by and you can't imagine how ful you life will be. Good louck on the journey. You won't regret a thing!!

The tool works - as long as you work with the tool! All great advice on above!

    Hi Marvin

    How exciting.

Advice? Listen to the professionals and follow the plan they give you.
Keep sipping water - all the time!
    Measure, weigh your food.
Keep a food diary and/or use an online app to track your intake.
Walk as often and as far as you feel you can - increasing the distance/time each day.
Sleep - especially in the first week.
    Be kind to yourself!

You will not believe how this surgery will change your life. It's going to be great.

All the best for the 3rd. Come back and let us know how you are getting on please.

I never saw it as difficult. I was positive, and lost all my weight. I think the hard part starts when you are at goal and want to stay there. No going back to old habits. Always learn new things. You will be thrilled beyond your wildest dreams! So excited for you!
