    Default Omg!

Confession time here, gained 8 pounds since early November. Still 2 pounds under my surgery goal weight, but I was so excited to be 10 pounds less.

Excuses? A week visit to one son early November. A 10 day road trip extravaganza to visit other son and daughter in 2 different states for Thanksgiving. Yesterday the family left from the Christmas visit, 9 extra people in my house for 8 days. By the time I finished cleaning up one meal it was time for another. And everyone (6 littles) wanted different treats. I wasn't even exercising, I was babysitting while my children exercised or shopped or took the big ones places.

So what's up with excuses? My lifestyle does NOT include excuses! We can all come up with zillions of them. Someone kick me in the butt.

Hopefully I can knock off a few on a 10 day ski/snowshoe trip starting Sunday. But I want my 2020 to be the year of 130 pounds!!

I haven't been on the scales since we left last Friday -- no scales where we are staying. It has been eat and be merry with friends. SO...I hear you!

Annie, you look Fabulous! Well, i'm escaping butt kicking ....this time! I lost 5 lbs thanks to a toothache in early DEC and an extraction and root canal on DEC 20th! @nd root canal on the 31st! Saved by the toothache pain and a very nice dentist.

HI All, yes this period has been bad. i have eaten junk food, but then I cut down on other food and managed to get to the gym, so luckily i have basically stayed the same. I am no w in full swing again and going hopefully everyday to the gym and no more junk food, as the children are back at university. I aim to lose the last 4kg i have set for myself, no sure how long it will take though. I have to make sure i don't gain any weight as my daughter gets married at the end of the year. Happy New year to everyone.

You are right, there are no excuses..... and I have gained a kilo over the holiday period - I have been enjoying some downtime, not really exercising (ok not exercising at all!) and have indulged in a few too many Christmas treats. However my partner and I have started up our walking regime again over the weekend and have had 2 lovely new long walks added to our repertoire. Back at work today after 2 weeks holiday so right back into my familiar routine. I need routine to continue to stay on track.

Sharon enjoy you skiing trip - I'm sure that you will be at your desired weight before you know it.

Isn't the best part knowing you can get right back where you need! And as a friend of mine said, "I tried everything but diet and exercise"....who knew healthy living was a constant choice!

    Hugs to you both!
