I had lap band surgery Oct. 2008, and because of complications with that i gained 30 lbs in a 4 month period. i had originally lost 108 lbs and was very happy with the band. i was able to have the band removed on sept. 21 and had the gastric sleeve procedure. the first few days were not a very pleasant experience, but i am now doing so much better. I have lost 20 of my 30 lbs that i needed to, to return to my previous weight. Wish me luck as i wish all of ya'll the very best!!

I currently have the band and I am scheduled to have it removed nov 21st and have the sleeve done. I have a hernia as well from the band.. Do you think you had problems because you went from the band to the sleeve?

my esophagus dialated and then my band slipped. also my saline in my band kept getting really "gunky" and they couldnt tell me why. i am kinda frustrated right know because i am holding steady at 20 lbs lost for a week! i eat about 800 calories a day. how can you not lose weight? im sure it will come off....

Hang in there, the weight loss will start again. I plateaued last week and thought something was wrong, then boom! it started back down again over the weekend. It happens. Good luck and God bless!
