7 days Post-Op Back to work

I had my surgery on 12/12. My experience was not bad at all. I had 2 days of gas pain, but by day 3 I was walking it out. I felt completely back to myself by day 4. I drove 3.5hrs back home on 4 days post op. It was not difficult at all. I am surprised how easy recovery is for me. It is day 7 today and I am finishing an 8hr shift at work. It is a desk job, but I'm not tired at all. Maybe this will give hope to those who are afraid of the recovery. It doesn't have to be bad. I was good at walking and sipping my protein drink and water from the beginning to ensure a speedy recovery

Wow! That's great that you feel so good.
I had 2 weeks off because I could :-). I possibly could have gone back to work after 1 week, but I was certainly very tired for a good couple of weeks.

JLB Thank you for sharing that positive post about your surgery going so well. I am hoping to find out Friday at my appointment when my surgery date will be. I have been worrying about the pain and the recovery. Your words have given me some comfort and peace. I pray that my experience will be similar to yours. I am so happy for you. Keep up the good work!
