    Default Little changes

When I was in Italy in September I walked up and down a lot of stairs.....like 1000's!
When I got back home and back to work sitting in front of a computer for most of the day I was wondering what I could do keep that step fitness up. I walk most days after work but it is all flat.

I work in a 3 storied building so I decided that I would set a reminder and every hour at work I get up and walk up and down the internal stairs. It takes only a few minutes but it gets me away from my desk and I am keeping my step fitness up....and it adds an extra 1000 steps a day to my activity. I even manage to rope in some of my colleagues to do it sometimes too.

Sometimes little changes can make a big difference.

What little changes have you made to your life that are making a big difference?

Well, after passing out at a restaurant last Saturday, I have added more water to my life. The hospital said that I was dehydrated. It was such a scare that I am now drinking water practically the whole day

I also walk the stairs a few times per day at work, and stretch throughout the day. I also skip one meal per day during the week, start out each Monday with a protein shake, and "reframe" my head with intentions for the week while drinking the shake

kenson, you need to drink as you're farther out from surgery but we still have to hydrate. Our new tummy's are used to having hydration and we have to keep them that way. Take care!

I'm really am making an effort to embrace "mindful eating" and slow down. Sometimes I slip up, but mostly I'm succeeding with this and it has helped a lot.

My doctor is perplexed as to what is going on and mentioned that he wondered if it had something to do with my surgery. I think that it really is dehydration as I really hadn't been drinking water and hydrating the way that I know that I should. I have learned my lesson!

Kenson a great reminder to us all that we need to keep our hydration up. It's easy to let things slip a little when we are busy.
    Glad that you are ok.

I personally believe it's a challenge to stay hydrated and sometimes no matter how much I drink, even up to 80 ounces; that my urine still could look dark I just think it's a challenge to stay hydrated after bariatric surgery. Not sure why...

    jerzey,
I'm really trying to make a conscious effort to drink something regularly. Kind of like in the beginning when we had to remind ourselves to eat, I keep reminding myself to DRINK!
