Default I Finally See It (My Progress)!!

    Hi All,

A full body photo of me was taken at a Women’s Vet Conference I manned a booth at - the photo - not by choice, but it was the first photo I actually squealed with delight and said of my goodness...I’m skinny. Many have told me, but I just never saw it. Does not help that I have a mother that doesn’t celebrate my weight loss, but says I should lose more. That woman will never be happy with my weight. Ever!

With being in the hospital more often than not last year I never got to take routine progress photos. And didn’t take many selfies because I was so full of fluid that who would want to?

The grey outfit was before surgery. The red sweater dress was just over a month post op. I was hospitalized shortly after that for the first of many times.

I have the shopping bug. It’s so nice to be out of plus size clothes. I have some medium shirts, but still mostly in larger because of my arm flab and looking at talking to a plastic surgeon very soon and if not by the end of the year - the beginning of 2020. I want to build up some more vacation for recovery anyway.

I have chronic pain with my back surgery, but see a surgeon about it Tuesday. I want to get off Gabapentin and Fentanyl if I can. I also may be seeing someone about the acid reflux I’m having. Never had it before surgery, but sure have it now. When do they consider revisions?

I’m happy to be in the 160s and glad I toned up as I started being in my chair more. I currently have a new pressure sore and tendinitis in both shoulders so the gym is off limits. I am trying to do some speed walking arm movements in bed at night just to keep moving. My OT wants me to see an Orthopedic surgeon for them as well before I get anymore deep tissue ultra sound and massage as it was not helping. Hoping I don’t need shoulder surgery.

I want to get to 145, but these last 20 lb are so stubborn. Any tips to get it off?

    I hope everyone is well.

What's with your mother??? That's crazy! Congratulations on all that weight loss, and so happy to hear your medical issues are improving.

The last pounds are always stubborn, sorry to say. But you can do it! You have gone through so much, you can lose 20 more pounds if you want. You sound like a determined young lady.

Hey Kristi, so glad to see you here sharing with everyone! And Sharon is correct, your mom is crazy. Mine was too -- even when I was 110 lbs as a young adult, she said I was too heavy....but whatcha gonna do?

If you keep steady with the protein first, then dense carbs, and no sugar or alcohol, the last 20 will come off...

Yay Kristi! You are looking fabulous girl.
Shopping is a whole lot more fun now isn't it?! My partner was complaining about the amount of space I have in the wardrobe...…..but I don't care. I never had much choice before so am making up for lost time ;-)
