Was It Really Worth It?

Hello! I'm Miriam, this is my first time joining anything like this. Please go easy. I had the gastric sleeve surgery 9/9/19. I was 178lbs at 5'4''... today, 258.4lbs. So I'm about a month post op. At first I could tell the surgery had effected my appetite and could only eat soft, small portions. Today, I can eat a 14 oz steak with sides if I allowed myself! I'm always hungry again! I'm so disappointed in myself for going right back to my old ways of thinking of food. Is it possible that this surgery only worked temporarily? My NP for my surgeon said that I should be losing a pound a day. Any feedback would be appreciated! Is this stagnant weight normal?

Did you type that wrong? You gained 80 pounds 4 and a half weeks since surgery? No way can that be right.

If you lost 80 pounds in that short a time that's incredible, way faster than most people lose.

I say this from the heart. You have a feeling and are wondering if it was really worth it. I can say it was worth it for me, but what does that do for you? Say how you feel and it will invite others who feel the same way to open up. There, within that communication you may find mutual coping mechanisms and success strategies.

Ridiculous... she really is out of her mind, but she sure knows how to get people crazy.
If my math is correct, taking into account you made a typing error and are now 158, you lost 20 pounds up till now?
That is great!
Everybody looses in a different pace, you loose way faster than I did.
Don't worry, you will do fine.
Just keep going and don't panic.
