hi all, just dropping in to say hi. all set for surgery on Sept 30th. So many emotions from really nervous to so excited. 5'3 275 pds. would love any pre surgery advice. thanks
Hi Anthony, I’m just a few days ahead of you - 9/25. Not enjoying the wait for insurance approval. The “losers” can advise more extensively, but two constants I’ve read on here are ask your surgeon to push the air/gas out and bring a pillow for the ride home - our lives are about to change in a very healthy way!
Great news. The surgery will really help you. If your doctor has you on a pre surgery diet follow it to the letter. One of the best things about this surgery is you lose a considerable amount of weight quickly. This should help motivate you. One thing that helped me was to visit this site daily. Lots of good advice from good people.
Take before pics, measurements, and weight. Keep a log and retake the pics every 2 weeks post op. Wear a swimsuit, underwear, or a pair of biker shorts and make sure to always take pic in the same place with photographer at same distance. It is a great thing to document your journey and see your body changing when you hit a stall. Good luck!
