    Default Stem Cell Therapy?

Anyone tried stem cells? My doctor thinks I need a shoulder replacement, primary due to arthritis along with some injuries. Researching it sounds miserable, at least 6 months to get back to your daily life. (Would totally ruin ski season!) I'm just not a sit around person.

Stem cell therapy is not covered by insurance, but the two people I know who have had it done are thrilled with their results. One had a surgeon say her knee was 90% gone and surgery was her only choice. She's fine now.

    Any one else tried it?

First, you make excellent decisions in your life (my observation) and you know yourself.

I've had many women friends who opted for it (including my mother in law who is 98 and still going to the gym & playing golf).
YES, it would stop you for this year (maybe) BUT it would add way more years of activity. So long term or short term decision? Only you'll know that.

I've not (so far) had joint or back issues, but I would do anything that is not a surgery in a heartbeat to be able to continue to enjoy the next 20 years. One season vs many? Pain for a couple of months vs none for a lifetime? Hmm.

Just figure out how you tolerate the procedures you've had, and what your long term goal is. YES, even at 67 I have long term goals. (including seeing ZZ Top this October - so excited!)
