Default How to Eat- Dr.V. video

How many of you do actually still eat like this?
I have to confess I eat a whole lot faster now...
I will go back to this, after all, this is also mindful eating, isn't it?

English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Even 3 years after the sleeve I was still using small plates or packing my lunch in tiny container. But it's true I was eating probably too fast, especially at work, even if I do put down my fork/spoon often, sometimes I had only 10 mns to eat.

Now since the repair at the end of June I had to go back to eating really really slowly but what's weird is I can eat more now than right after the sleeve, I still keep my quantity in check...still worried after my complication...

Anyway, we all eat too fast, that's really an issue, even my youngest is wolfing down her food for lunch since her break is not that long and she walks back home to eat her lunch (food at school is not that healthy, too much fried food and fatty meat, not enough veggies...) I often need to remind her to slow down at dinner, and I don't see her for lunch when I'm at work!

Thanks so much for sharing this video Simonne!

This video should be required viewing for ALL, whatever stage you are.

I also use saucer size plate and small utensils. I don’t always chew 20x and/or wait 30 seconds. I am much better when I ‘m eating alone. I’ve commented to my husband that I have a bad habit of following his lead. He’s usually done eating before I take my second bite.

I’m going to practice sitting on my hands ;-)

WOW! Great video especially for me (someone who has eaten too fast her entire life). Agree with WANAGL, this should be required viewing.

Yay Dutchie, thank you sooooooooooo much for posting this. Definitely mandatory viewing for pre op and post op patients. It is so true that eating too fast causes so much discomfort for me. It is common sense, but we sometimes forget the basics.

"How's my Baby?" HAHAHAHAHA!! This Dr. cracks me up and I appreciate his blatant honesty. We need to hear this.

I love his no-nonsense, not gonna co-sign your BS approach. I’ve gone to YouTube and watched some of his other videos. I’m going to make this a daily habit. Sometimes Dr A videos (though very educational) are kinda bland.

I definitely need to slow down some. I am pretty good about using small plates and what not but I do think I am eating too fast and taking too big of bites. Great video.
