Red face Absence on line due to gypsy curse (okay may be not)

I think I've finally caught up with all the threads I've missed. WELCOME newbies I've missed, and kudos to those posting!

Been offline; not just my health being whacko (which is my "normal") with lots of tests, specialists, etc., but my goodness my whole family seems to be under some curse.

My cousin (78) flew back to visit for 2 weeks, and fell down the stairs at my daughters, breaking a rib and hand, and requiring beaucoup stitches in her ear. They flew back at day 4 of the 2 weeks (did go first class due to rib). Then my oldest daughter had ER visit for appendicitis; middle daughter's house closing (old and new on the same day) got crazy and postponed - meanwhile, they were all packed and had to reshuffle movers, etc. They did stay with us one night. (While she's juggling grad school, kids and he has to work). Then youngest daughter has broken hose on the vehicle while in Ohio at a trade show; then grandkids came; then husband broke foot yesterday in the back yard while mowing and stepped on something. Did manage to get today's scheduled outpatient procedure postponed, but now have to wait till 9/27.

Whatever we did to invite a curse, I think I have made amends! Life is a crazy old thing.

    WEIGHT
has been the most stable thing in my life, lol! So hooray for the good sleeve and good support of friends.

    Missed you all!

    WOW Annie!

This falls under the category “Sh*t happens...sometimes all at once” ARGH :-(

I had my share a few months ago. Upon returning from attending my beloved brother’s passing, I found my precious kitty in distress with her left eye bulging. It had to be removed to save her life. The following weekend I awoke to the entire house flooded (with hot water) by a failed fitting under the kitchen sink. We spent 2 days “mopping up”.

I’m sooo grateful I’m physically (and mentally) able to deal with life on life’s terms. And that here there’s a tremendous support group ;-)

I send All Good Thoughts and Prayers for healing broken bones and completed house closings ;-)

I feel for you Annie!! I've been under the same curse myself for the past year!!
I hope all your loved one will get treatment and get better soon!!
You should burn some sage or something!! I did get the essential oil warmed up often!! at least even if the curse is here to stay, it will be in a lovely scented household! and it's killing germs and viruses (one stone two birds..)
    Big hugs!! take care!

    Thanks Christie.

I’m grateful we took immediate action. She’s our 11 year old, 8 lb furry baby ;-)

She’s back to playing in boxes...when she has a ton of toys of course. LOL

    O Annie...
    Stop!
    Right now!
    No more of that!
That really sounds like a curse...

I hope all your relatives will be okay very soon.
But look on the bright side: this won't happen again.
    How are the odds?
I am glad you are doing fine!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Oh my -- I am okay dealing with lots of stuff (well and even if I weren't ok, I'd still have to handle it). But if its one of my children or our dogs, I am NOT as okay. I had a cat many years ago with the same issue, and we just started calling him The Dread Pirate Julius. He did wonderfully well and lived to about 17 years (and 17 lbs).

HEY, thanks for letting me unwind on here! Our middle daughter and her husband are coming this evening to fix the hot water heater - thank goodness he kept his plumbers license!

I'm taking Jim to the sports medicine doc, and she'll schedule another x ray for the end of the week. He is not "minding" me very well, and I am afraid I threatened to swing the crutch at him if he didn't stay off the foot. He does not seem particularly scared of me, lol.

Things have settled down. I do think I need to up my water and my protein. Looking back even though weight is stable, I am thinking I am not hitting those goals right now.

    Y'all are fantastical good!
