Default Still alive, still kicking, still living the sleeved dream

Hello my friends. I swear I have been gone but have not forgotten you. It has been a long 2 1/2 months. It all started with getting ready to move into the new house. We were starting to get on a time crunch as the new owners of our old house were getting antsy to move in. We rented it back from them for 2 months. We were trying to avoid going past 2 months. So our builder was really phenomenal about expediting to get our house done 5 days before they wanted to so we could move out of the old house. So after a bit of paperwork snafus (they printed it all out with my middle initial wrong even though I had told the loan officer earlier in the week) we finally got done with our closing paperwork on Friday the 24th of May at 730 pm!! We left and got back to the old house and had to be ready to turn over the keys by Sunday morning. We had movers lined up for Saturday morning and intended to take over the small stuff that night. I already had almost everything packed besides a few daily use items and furniture. So we get home. And my MIL had been having a really bad breathing day (she has chronic breathing issues) and I ended up taking her to the emergency room. I was there until 1 am. My hubby moved what he could but he is no where near as organized as me about things. So it was a very stressful Saturday rushing to get things done. Thankfully I knew it would be busy so I had arranged for a company to come in and do a move out cleaning at the old house. I keep it clean anyways but didn't want to deal with it. Sooooo glad I did that. Saved us time and energy. My MIL ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days!!! So glad I made her go. Her crazy but was going to try to drive to her old house and stop at urgent care on her way closer to home. She had to pack out of her old house the day she got out of the hospital and close the next day to the buyers of her house. Luckily it all worked out.
Then the moving in process started. Combining 2 households is not fun or easy. So much stress. It took forever. and I was doing most of it by myself as my MIL can't breathe and well my hubby was mostly useless during this time. We both only had a week off to work on it. Then because I had to wait for my work internet line to be hooked up I had to go in to the office for 4 days, which sucked. But finally it got hooked up. The good thing is that working from home allowed me to get a lot done before and after work.
Then my husband had a trial stim wave surgery for his back issues. (He has severe scoliosis and AVM.) The surgeon made a snap decision to take a different route because they could not get it where they originally planned to implant it and it ended up causing a spinal fluid leak. It temporarily paralyzed his right leg. Luckily it was temporary but it did give us a good scare. So after the trial and some full MRI's they just did the implantation of the actual device this past Friday. He is home convalescing and a pain in the butt but thankfully everything went as planned.
Also during this time my son was home from college for a 2 week visit, my daughter graduated, my hubby had his birthday, we had my sister and her 2 kids here for a 3 week visit, a niece came for a week visit, Father's Day, 3 separate meet ups with friends in for brief out of town visits, and me having appointments for my sister & dad's house they are going to build in our neighborhood. My sister and dad have decided to move from Europe to Texas so we can all be together.
So while things have finally settled down we are still pretty busy with stuff but I promise I will start coming on a few times a week. It definitely will not be daily as it was before.
The good news is I am still fit and healthy. I did stop working out for a while but have been back at it for a few weeks now. Sooo glad to be back at it. That is why I was so hell bent on getting everything unpacked. Our garage was chock full and I could not access my weight machine. Also, as a Virgo, all the boxes and disorganization was making me anxious.
I have missed you guys. I will post a few pics and some time this week I will make an album with house pictures.
Hope you are all living your best sleeved life.

    OMG Christie!
So glad to see you back.
I must say I am exhausted, just by reading all you've done, accomplished, achieved, and you are probably still not finished?
Remind me to never move again...
I hope your mother-in-law and husband are doing well now.

You still look great, nice pictures and your kids are so grown up!
Looking forward to seeing the pictures of your new house.
    Take care!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Thank you! I am so glad to be back. Yes, we still have a ton to do and my sisters 2 kids will be coming back on Aug 10th and she won't be here until like mid September. They are 12 and 14. I will have to get them registered for school and take them school shopping. But it is somewhat calmer. No rest for the wicked, I guess.

Hahaha. I actually feel bigger but my clothes/the scale say otherwise. I think when we are so busy we start to feel out of touch with our bodies. I don't know if that makes any sense. Like there is a disconnect between mind, body, and spirit.

LOL. I can tell you it was more mentally exhausting then physically. I am Virgo and overthink the shit out of things. Disorganization and mess drives me sooo batty. So I just could not rest until it was done. I even hung all the paintings and stuff on my own. Measuring and leveling and what not. Phew. Now I can somewhat relax.

Well, it's been really complicated to say the least. After my hysterectomy, I thought my stomach repair would be done in May as planned, but my surgeon kept on postponing with excuses and more excuses, took me a while to figure out that my case was so complicated that the surgeons were scared! After going to an other public hospital, where they didn't want to operate before September or October!! I decided to go private and just pay whatever. Lucky me, with the heat wave many patients cancelled appointments and surgery, and long story short that's how I got my surgery on June 28 with a really gifted and nice surgeon (number 5!!!)!! Had a complication ten days later, but since I'm good!

Crossing my fingers....of course at work my plans got all canceled so I'm not going to an other job overseas before next Summer, which is a big bummer!

Next week I see my surgeon, if he is ok, I can ask to go back to work (finally!!) if the expert (doc from work) agrees too...

The past year has been a real nightmare but hopefully I'm reaching the end of it now!!!

    big hugs!!
