Hello! I am starting at 258. Exciting to be here and share in this journey with others!
Welcome!
Kudos to you for starting. No matter where you start, you’re on the road to a healthier lifestyle.
You’ve arrived at the best site for information, encouragement and support. We have a lot of fun, too ;-)
Ask any questions you may have. We’re here to share our experiences, strength and hope where we can.
This is one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. My only regret is that I waited.
Only 4 days to go! The joy is in the journey ;-)
Welcome and congratulations on your decision to have the surgery. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's a lifestyle and commitment, but it gave me my life back and it's more than worth the effort. I feel better physically AND mentally than I have in years.
Yay for you!
We were all in your shoes. Remember this is all for YOU. You will be thrilled when you see 240, 230, 220, then 200 and 190, 180 until you reach your goal. When was the last time you were under 200? Follow the program and diet restrictions and you will get there. Drink a lot of fluids, walk, walk, walk. I am a very competitive person and it was a challenge for me every time I lost more weight. I started the process at 307. My 2 week liquid pre op diet got me to 288 the day of surgery. I lost 19 lbs on the pre-op. Then I lost 30 the first month and 15 the second month. After that I lost 8-10 per month. My realistic goal was 220 and optimistic goal was 210 lbs. I have stayed at 206 lbs for the last 10 months. YOU CAN reach your goals. Follow the program. Another thing that really helped me was to go on this site every day. It informed me and motivated me. Keep us posted.
