Default Waiting for my surgery tomorrow

    Hello,
This is my first post. Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow at morning. Have to be there at 6:00 am. I'm a bit nervous.

It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous.

Sometimes I had to remind myself to just...breathe. LOL ;-)

You’ll do great. After surgery, the fun begins!

This is one of the best decisions I ever made for myself. My only regret is that I waited.

Best of luck as you embark on this amazing journey ;-)

We were all nervous. But what you are doing is life changing, beyond your wildest dreams! Becoming a healthy, regular sized person is about to be real.

    First week advice:

    1. Sleep all you can.
    2. If you have a family, delegate meals to someone else for at least a few weeks.
    3. Walk a little, even if it's just around your house.
    4. Your only job is to meet your liquid and protein requirements. Keep a journal, or even just a piece of paper in your kitchen to count the liquid ounces and protein grams. And remember any protein drink counts toward both goals.
    5. Take measurements and pictures! So much fun to compare.
    6. Weigh only once a week. I recorded my Monday weight in a journal. Stalls happen, especially early on, and you don't want anything bringing you down. Make it all positive and fun!

    Hope everything is smooth sailing!

I hope you are through surgery and doing well in recovery! Remember to move as much as possible, more movement gets the gas out, walk often to help the gas and prevent clots. Take pics and measurements, you'll be amazed at the changes you will see. Also, have someone bring a pillow for the ride home. Put between the seatbelt and your stomach.
