I made the decision after consulting with my PCP. I am 41 and my Multiple Sclerosis has progressed to a point that I am limited on my ability to work out substantially. Between that and my weight hindering, I have to do something. I am currently 374 lbs. I have spent hours reading and pinning on pinterest. My first appt in the process is August 15. Looking forward to sharing my journey!!!

Welcome and congratulations on your decision to have the surgery. It is a commitment and a complete lifestyle change, but one of the best decisions I've ever made. I just wish I had done it sooner LOL.
I think you will be thrilled once the weight starts coming off. It's an exciting time, but I changed a lot mentally as well. My attitude has improved dramatically, I am just happier, have much more energy and look forward to planning things and socializing, which I had avoided because I felt so bad about my weight.
