Its been 4 plus hours. I decided to eat and I had about 2 ounces of food and I feel like I'm choking. Not sure if I ate to fast or too much but I feel quite horrible. Every time I swallow I feel something in my throat. What is it?
It's not just a question of quantity but also density. If you eat 2 oz of chicken it won't feel the same as 2 oz of Greek yogurt...also any cruciferous veggie (cauliflower, brocoli etc) would give me the worth stomach cramps for at least 18 months post op...same for a drop of alcohol in a sauce (restaurant)...
eat only only small expresso spoons size, no drinking 30 mns before and after the meal, and even if the meal is already mashed it's still important to chew well

I still feel that way occasionally after 5 years, sort of like the food is sitting in my throat, and I think it's when I eat too fast. I was taught to chew, chew, chew and eat slowly. But sometimes I don't learn my lesson.
