Welcome to the forum! I wholeheartedly agree with what all of the others have said. Getting the sleeve is the best money you'll ever spend. I am self-pay as well. I financed over 5 years in order to have the smallest payment possible. In the scheme of things, it really isn't that expensive for the enormous benefits you get. Think of what we spend on a car payment - it's much cheaper than that for a tool that will last a lifetime.

I’m one of the lucky few who had the surgery covered by insurance. I originally started with the Lap-Band and after a few years it was obvious that was not working so I switched to a sleeve. I’m not the poster child for VSG as I have had quite a few slip ups but every day I find myself getting better at it, and it’s only going to get better. I’m still relatively new at this but everyone on the forum has been so supportive. You’ve found a great group to join.
