    Red face Newbie here :)

    Hi everyone ....

I’ve been lurking for a while to get info. I’m looking to have the sleeve done. Yesterday I had my first consultation appt with my surgeon and her PA. Wow, that was a lot to take in in just one hour! My insurance requires a 6 month program but she said if I have sleep apnea and/or fatty liver I won’t have to wait the 6 months so I’m in the process of getting those two things scheduled first. I look forward to becoming an active member of this group !

    Welcome!

I lurked for a long time before and 3+ months after VSG. I found a great deal of positive attitude here. You’ve come to the best place for information, encouragement and support.

Best of luck as you embark on this amazing journey ;-)

Welcome. It is all a little overwhelming at first, I think that's why I had to attend many classes as they didn't want to throw it all at me at once. Luckily everything was in writing, sort of like my sleeve "Bible." I referred to it over and over. I still look at it over 5 years later when I can't remember things like what dosage of Calcium Citrate I should be taking.

So excited for you! Get ready for FUN! This group is great, just ask questions when you are confused about anything. But be ready for honest answers. (A few people seem to get offended by the truth.)

    Welcome here Bella!
    Exciting times for you ahead!
    Ask away!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

    Yes, sigh...
I am actually a very loving, caring person.
But sometimes I feel like I have to get through right away, I am also a "no nonsense" kinda girl.
    No "buts" or "what ifs".
Just do what you have to do.

But it is always meant in a very loving and supportive way.
If I didn't care, I would not react at all...
