    Default It's official I'm sleeved

I'm excited for this journey, my sleeve was done 6/7. My body seems to not want to work with me right now. I can't take nausea meds they made me sick lol. I'm getting in my water and drinking Pedialyte cause that stays down. When does this meh feeling go away?

    Welcome to the losers bench!
Nausea meds that make you nauseous... oh dear...
You will feel better every day, the first couple of days are the worst.
Just sip, sip, sip, walk, rest, repeat.
Just take it easy, a lot of people underestimate the impact of this surgery.
Listen to your body, take a lot of naps.
    You will feel better soon!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Sleep, see if they can switch the nausea medicine and it will be better in a couple days. Welcome to our side of the bench!

Welcome JessiO! You are only 2 days post-op - everything in your body is in turmoil at this point, you haven't even cleared the anesthesia from your body yet. Keep drinking the Pedialyte if its staying down. Call the doctor and have your nausea medicine switched to something else if you feel you really need something, there are a lot of options. My advice is to sleep as much as you can. For me, that was the best way to deal with the meh feeling you describe. It took me about 5 full days before I felt like the anesthesia wore off. Walk and sip when you are awake, otherwise sleep it off (like a bad hangover!).

P.S. Welcome to the other side!

Congrats on the surgery. I know you feel like crap right now, but I PROMISE, every day will get better. I tried to focus on sipping while awake, and I slept as much as I could the first week. I did walk, that helped me to start getting my strength back.

You've been through a major surgery. Be extra kind to yourself right now and try not to stress. When you start adding in protein and then broths and soups, and can begin your vitamins that will be a huge help too.

Welcome to the losers bench as we say!

    Congrats on your surgery.
The first couple of days will be a bit of a blur - but it get better really quickly.
Just remember that you have had major surgery and give yourself time to recover.
Sip water all the time. Take some short walks as often and as far as you can - increasing the distance when you feel you can.
Sleep when you feel like it and above all be kind to yourself :-)

In 5 days you'll be feeling way more like yourself. Everyone has a very different degree of queasiness, and I am one who gets it often, regardless. Try some lemon ginger tea (decaf) and sip away. It really helps.
