    Default Love my Mountains

    Attachment 28310

OK, if you live in Colorado or any mountain state you have no excuse not to be skinny! Just climb a mountain. Ski all winter. First day of an 8 day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park and I've already seen three moose and a herd of hundreds of elk. Plus I did my first climb and it is good for my soul. (Though we were sucking air coming from sea level!) We came during the off season (shoulder season they call it) as it's muddy and still some snow, but so much fun to be here without the 4+ million people who typically visit during the summer. Those people would have scared away my moose.

Colorado is amazing. I can’t wait to ski, tube, hike and more after my surgery. And as for the wildlife, I get moose, bears and, foxes in my yard at least weekly. It is just incredible. Enjoy your stay in our beautiful state. When I first moved here the altitude was tough to adjust to, but it got better. When I go to places at sea level now, I can’t believe how easy it is to climb stairs!

I would love to see mooses.
    But look at you Sharon!
Look at that jaw line, those skinny arms, that waist line!
    Where is your loose skin?
    You look gorgeous!
When are you leaving for Africa?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Awesome! How wonderful and happy you sound! Hiking and mountain climbing truly are your happy places.

Hubby and I spent 3 weeks in Colorado last year. Our sights were set on motorcycle rides...Garden of The Gods, Pike’s Peek, Horsetooth...from the south all the way to Cheyenne,WY. and up into Montana. We’re going back next year.

Not exactly my doorstep, about a 10-11 hour drive. But we get here a lot, at least 6 times since October! Thinking about moving here, but still in the thinking stages.

Thanks for all the compliments! Loose skin is hiding under clothes. We go to Africa early August. Have a beach trip with family planned in July, not sure how that's going to train me for Kilimanjaro! Can you tell I like mountains more than beaches? But we'll be with the grandkids so that will be fun.

We would like to live here. The problem is where we are now is so centrally located and 10 minutes from an airport as our kids are scattered all over. And here you'd get a shack for the same price as our super nice house in MO. We would have to pay more in CO to get less than 1/2 of our home here. (And our house is paid off!). Upside is we no longer need a big house, and I'm sure if we moved we would get a lot of visitors! Lots to think about.

I heard that Colorado is famous for the great ski resorts, but I've never been there. I want to learn snowboarding, is it possible to do it there?
