Hello everyone, All of this is new to me as I just started talking about this surgery with my surgeon this week....seriously thinking of getting the sleeve done and need all the help I can get before and after the surgery . I have spent the last couple hours watching you tube video's of things that take place pre and post surgery and thought there must be some FORUMS out there somewhere so I googled it and here I am. Hoping to get to know a lot of you and hope you will share your journey with me and give me the pro's and con's of having this surgery....I weigh 264 lbs now nd have a lot to lose...Thanks for all your help in answering tons of questions for me...

I was 255 lbs in October. My surgery was October 11, 2018. I am now 158. I went from a size 20 in jeans to an 8/10. It was the best decision I have ever made for myself. The only 2 cons that I could think of would be that if you aren't careful or don't follow the rules, dumping syndrome is a horrible side effect and that food doesn't taste the same. However, you can fix that by always following the rules. Always drink your fluids, pause for 30 minutes, eat, wait 30 minutes and then start drinking again. Those are things you can overcome. Your health is more important than those cons. You won't regret joining the losers bench!

Oh and you can check out my before and after if you want....

    Welcome!

This forum is the best place for information, encouragement and support. I read a lot here and watched YouTube videos by Bariatric Drs pre-surgery. I also went to a couple of seminars.

Best of luck as you embark on this amazing journey! ;-)

Perfect place to be! Ask any questions and friendly people will be here to help. I learned so much on this site before surgery, and now I stick around to hopefully help others. Welcome!
