Hi! Had my surgery on March 27 and I feel great. I would do it again without any hesitation. You found a great place to ask questions and get info, just follow your surgeon’s guidelines and you’ll do well. Welcome to the losers bench!

I was 47 on my day of surgery. Pre-diabetic, High Blood Pressure AND Crohn's Disease! Although my Crohn's has never been what I would call severe, marked mostly by diarrhea, and severe spasms from time-to-time. I never found any meds helpful in managing the disease so for 20 years I managed the symptoms. All that to say, one year post op I am no longer pre-diabetic and have normal BP. I have had only a couple incidences of diarrhea since surgery and one bad flare in all this time. Eating high protein has really helped with my Crohn's symptoms. These are just a few of the positive health changes I have experienced since having the sleeve.

Excited and scared are both normal! I had an easy recovery, have no food intolerances, am down 120# in a year, many NSV's! Are there specific questions you have?

It's totally normal to be excited and scared at the same time, I think we all were. But you need this, and it will give you a wonderful, amazing new life as a healthy regular-sized person. For many people their diabetes goes away. A life beyond your wildest dreams. Just follow your surgeons rules and you'll do great. Keep researching so you know what to expect. Any questions, ask here!

Hi, welcome to this great board.
There are lots of fantastic people here, who can help you with all the questions you have about the sleeve and the surgery.
    I love your avatar btw!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.
