    Welcome!

You’ve come to the best place to learn all you can absorb. I read everything here that applied to my situation. I went to seminars and watched positive YouTube videos. Dr A has a series that answers any/all questions I ever had.

Best of luck as you embark on this amazing journey ;-)

Keep reading. Keep researching. The more you know the easier it will be.

I personally would start a little exercise routine, like just walking a little every day. If you are able to, walk a little more. I think me being in reasonably good shape even when I was big really contributed to an easy surgery and pretty quick recovery. Just my thoughts, no scientific proof to back that up! But at my psych eval when he heard I was a walker he said, "Well then you will have no problem losing all your weight." He was right

Welcome! Super excited for your future!

Good morning! Having surgery on 1/20/2020 with Dr. Almanza! Hoping you can ease my mind because I read some "not so great" things recently.

    Thanks, Lori

Dr Almanza nearly cost me my life unfortunately others weren’t so lucky and others have much worse outcomes than me. I’ve had 5 major abdominal surgeries including a revision to a bypass because of a medical mistake he knowingly did. I should have never had the sleeve because of my medical history and I had a Nissan wrap in place. He just cut in half and left it and did not tell us. It was a ticking Time bomb that eventually went off. Causing all kinds of problems on my body. which lead to a stroke and all kinds of other medical problems. Lastly I add to have my colon removed completely and have a permanent Ileostomy.( poop in a bag) but I’m alive. You can go online and see the stories a San Diego News did on him and a Arizona news paper did a story and an Attorney is going after Weightloss agents for scamming & lying to people. I’m happy to answer any questions.
