Since starting the protein shakes, I have been having nausea. Is this common? Also, Ladies, I have been having some major hot flashes. Anyone else have a similar experience?
I was nauseous for several months post-sleeve, and couldn't stand whey protein shakes. I had to switch brands several times, my stomach preferred vegan shakes. Milk was also an issue for like 6 months.
It's just a phase...no worries!

I had the same problem. The hot flashes could also be from drinking your protein shake too fast. I'd do little sips. I'm 7 months post-op and I have to mix my powder with water. I don't buy them already mixed anymore or make smoothies anymore either. Try a different kind and see if that helps.

Try other protein shakes, there are tons out there. Don't buy in bulk until you know you like them. I liked Isopure because it was a drink, not a shake. I didn't like the creaminess. The Isopure flavors can be a bit odd; I liked orange with a lot of ice.
