    Default Sleeved 🤗

Hello All, this is my first post on here,
Got sleeved. weds 5/22/19 came home yesterday, Was sore and my pain was manageable unless I was trying to roll over in bed , or getting up from a sofa or chair, Then it was painful, My operation took almost 3x the normal surgery time,My doctor said normal VSG surgery took him Hour to Hour/half,
Mine took nearly 4 hrs. With a few complications, I had a lot of stomach scar tissue from 2 previous surgeries , I will try and tell that story another time as it is rather lengthy, I'm feeling a lot better today, and am currently nursing my water and protein drink.
My Starting weight on surgery Day was
319lbs. and my goal weight is to be around
180lbs. Hoping to hit that mark, any advice or helpful hints from the experience sleevers I is Appreciated,Thanks

good luck and good to hear that you are not in too much pain. I slept sitting up for 2 weeks after surgery as it was far more comfortable and less painful. Try and walk about as much as possible and yes keep sipping. You can also have clear soup/broth as it makes a change from water.

Walk, sip and follow your surgeons guidelines. Don't push it to try to get to the next stage of foods...you'll get there eventually. Discipline was the biggest factor in my success. At just over one year postop I still weigh & measure my foods. I eat protein first, then veggies, then carbs if room. I have learned what full feels like and stop. You'll likely develop a "tell" like runny nose, sneezing, burping that helps you to know you are full....don't push it past that. You will be very uncomfortable and it's not worth it! Take your vitamins.

Those are the best tips I have to offer. Blessings on your journey!
