    Default My first scale victory!

I am thrilled to say that I'm at 198. I haven't been below 200 in years and it is such a good feeling and motivation to keep on keeping on. I'm 3 weeks post op and feeling better and stronger each day. I really work hard at getting in my protein and water and I've been faithful with the vitamins. I'm walking at least 30-45 minutes a day and my surgeon said to hold off on any strength or resistance training until the 6th week.

Bummer, I was thinking it would be okay at the 4 week mark. Oh well, I'm gonna listen to him. Their post op diet also runs 6 weeks instead of 4 so maybe that's just how they practice. I was able to get out in the garden and I cleaned all of my outside patio furniture on the front and back decks this week too. I would have never had the energy to do that before. Slow and steady I'm healing each day.

Thanks for letting me toot my own horn LOL

    You really sound so happy!
I am glad everything goes so well.
And this is just the beginning, can you imagine that?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

    Hey Dutche
Gosh no I cannot imagine how I'll be behaving a month from now. I think I'm going to be quite the handful haha. My husband said it was so good to see the "old me", he said he felt like we were a family again. Before I would be hiding in the house, not wanting to go out or do anything.

It really is an awesome, incredible feeling to think I'm been given this wonderful tool to help me change my life. I'm so grateful.

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement. Hope all is well with you also.

So happy for you! I was on a 6 week post-op diet, basically liquids the first 2 weeks, mushy food week 3, and regular foods introduced weeks 4,5, and 6. Then all foods.

I was cleared for all exercise at 2 weeks, wonder why they are all so different. Keep up the walking, that's great!

Congratulations! Feels good to be so successful doesn’t it? Your husband sounds like mine, pretty soon I’ll be running circles around him.

First rule of gastric sleeve is that there is no set rules. Every surgeon has a preference for just about every aspect of the journey. LOL. But look at you....Onederland!!! Way to go!! Toot toot!!!

My post op was almost 8 weeks, but that was good because I really would have felt badly if I couldn't hit "bigger" expectations. So for me it was good.
And it gets so much different once you're a way out. I think for me it reinforced the good choices and quantities.

I'm 18 months out and maintaining between 129-133. At 5'4" and 67 I'm quite pleased
    [I]HW: 240 lbs SW: 199 lbs GW: 140 lbs

    1 MO = 167.0 2 MO = 156.4 3 MO = 148.4 4 MO = 140.6
    5 M) = 136.0 6 MO = 130.0
    1 YR = 122.0 2 YR = 140.00 2.5 YR = 139
Happy with my weight; happy with my size; over-the-moon with my health!
