    Default Sparkling water

How do we feel about sparkling water? I know carbonation isn’t great. I’m almost 6 months out since surgery. My surgeon only really talked to me about pop I assume due to carbonation. I just need something. Also I saw my PCP and he told me to stop trying to lose weight. I’m 6 pounds from a healthy weight for my height. So that was something I’ve never experienced before but yay. Also not gonna listen 🤭

I drink it, but I'm 5 years out. Never bothered me. I also drink diet soda, one large from McDonald's a day, and will quit cold turkey June 1st. I had to pick a date, as we are going to Tanzinia in August and there will be no diet soda climbing Kilimanjaro. (Actually they said there is none in the country). So if I quit in June hopefully the headaches will be gone by August. Plus I'll be healthier as I know it's not good for me.

Stop trying to lose weight? That's nuts. You want to be in the healthy BMI range if at all possible!

Tell you GP to shut up.

I'm so glad I made it into the healthy BMI range. It's da bomb!

I drink it. Not always but occasionally. It does not bother me. And poo to your physician. I wouldn't actively try to lose but I would keep following the rules.

I hope sparkling water is okay. I love it especially in the summertime, Maybe it would be alright in moderation? Congrats on your weight loss, yay!

Christie makes a good point. After we "stop losing," some of us have continued losing. No guarantees, but after I reached my "goal" of 150 pounds (the lowest weight I could remember weighing in decades) I worked at staying stable and, over the next 9 months lost another 15 pounds. That's how I actually wound up in the "normal BMI zone."

In other words, it's possible you're not done yet.
