Hello From Ohio

My name is Jackie, I had my gastric sleeve on 12/5/18. At my highest I was 290 and currently at 195. I decided to have the sleeve to become healthy again. I had tried dieting and it just was not working. I love the tool that my doctor has given and the knowledge. The last year has been hard though with the loss of my son to Pancreatic cancer on 7/4/18, We had only got the diagnosis a month and a half before he passed ( May 18). We did not have the time to prepare for what was coming... so I put my sleeve on hold to make sure he had everything he needed. I would not have changed my decision for anything.

I had put this off for years but things happen when hey are suppose to happen and I would say the best decision I have ever made although I'm only a month in I still would do it all over again.

Continue your work, I don't know what your goal is but in my eyes you have done an amazing job.

You don't have to feel strong. Just do the best you can do. Hope you have friends/family to support you. Or maybe a support group for parents who have lost children. Sending prayers and hugs!
