    Unhappy 5 days after sleeve

Got my sleeve done Tuesday healing is going well just trying to take it day by day
I am not physically hungry but mentally really have been having a hard time knowing only liquids for 9 more days. Trying to keep busy but recovering makes[FONT=Arial Narrow[/FONT] that limited. I was fine til I needed to make lunch for my youngest and just got really agitated and irritable the rest of the day. Any advice?

I was so not hungry in the beginning. Just the thought of food - yuck! I slept a lot (Maybe with little ones you are actually tired), walked a little, and kept a journal to be sure I met my protein and liquid goals for each day.

You're going to just have to do it. Get that positive attitude going, it will take you far. You can do this!

I would start by having a friend or family member watch the kids so you can sleep a lot this weekend. I did have one advantage over you, as an empty nester I didn't have to cook for anyone. Hubby is a big boy so was on his own. (I did get a little pissed one night when he brought home pizza way before I could try that. Couldn't he have eaten it at the restaurant?!?)

Thank you for the words of encouragement it really is helpful. I feel much better today got a nice shower took a walk outside with my boys and just keep reminding myself why I did this to begin with. I also found some yummy sugar free popsicles. Have a great weekend.

I was just wanting savory and not the sweet of the protein shakes. I had hot tea, latte's made with fairlife milk & Splenda, and creamed soups made with fairlife milk instead of water. Those few spoons of creamed soup kept me sane.

Congrats on your surgery! We just a say apart. I did find myself so tired a few times and that does make me cranky too. I try and rest as I go. We are working with such a small amount of energy from food and we did just have a major surgery. Our bodies are healing. I am sure it is much harder having to take care of little ones at the same time, but it sounds like you are doing well.

Every day gets easier doesn't it? This time next week we'll be working on pureed foods and it will get easier! I start my vitamins on Monday and I think that will also help a lot. Hang in there, the hardest part is over.

Hang in there. This is just the beginning of a fabulous new healthy long life.
These few weeks are going to seem like nothing in the future.
Feel free to come on in here and vent if that will help :-)
We've all been there - although I didn't have to worry about feeding children - only my partner.
Please don't be afraid to ask for help from your family/friends. I'm sure they would only be too willing to step up if required. They may not know that you could do with a hand.
Everyday it gets better so think positive thoughts and know that this is not going to last forever :-)
