    Default Stomach Pain

Hi guys. Well it's day 5 and while I am doing well, I am having a bit of stomach pain. I started on full liquids yesterday and I poured about 2 ounces of cream of chicken soup strained and ate it slowly with a baby spoon. I drank 2 Unjury premixed protein shapes sipping slowly not gulping, but it feels so tight. Haven't thrown up or anything.

Are there any rules for how much or how fast you drink your liquids? I'd say I am sipping about every 2 minutes. Is that too fast?

Apparently for you, at this point, yes.
Listen to your body, listen to your stomach.
It is swollen, bruised and sore.
That will last for three weeks, then it starts to heal.
Every time you drink or eat something new, be careful and take it sip by sip and bite by bite.
There are doctors that recommend waiting for 5 minutes between sips and bites.
    Yes, that is long...
But with every sip you have the time to see what happens.
    Does it hurt? Stop.
    Does it get stuck? Stop.

Sounds a lot to take in right now.
    Baby steps...
You'll get the hang of it.
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Thanks my friend. That makes me feel much better. I was probably drinking too fast. Slow and steady win the race LOL.

If the pain is occurring after you drink/eat then it’s probably from that. Which means it’s too much or too fast. It’s such a learning game after surgery and as you move back to solid foods. You will get there.

It's been 4.5 years and I'm still learning. Not even close to mastered it yet. My tummy hurts every time I eat. Good luck, and keep on sipping!

I could not take in much at 5 days. Like a spoonful and I was done for 5-10 mins. So just listen to your body. Don't force it. As long as you stay hydrated you will eventually work it out.
