    Default can't exercise

HI everyone, a little update. It was our Passover recently ad during that time I seemed to gain 1kg. However I am now back down and am so relieved. However I am so frustrated as I cannot exercise properly at the moment as I have Bursitis in my shoulder. I have just had a cortisone injection and hope that will sort out the pain. I also have a wrist guard to wear, as I have problems with my wrist. At least I can still go for walks. I am hoping that i wont put on any weight while I am not training properly. II am still getting wow compliments and a few people I know have blanked me as they didn't realize it was me, lol.

Walking is my daily form of exercise. I also do isometrics and dance. This combination has worked for me for 3+ years.
I do hope you get some relief for the bursitis.

    Ouch, that is so painful!
    I hope the shot helps.
I don't know if one cortisone shot will affect your weight, could be...
How is the weather where you live?
    Can you go for walks?
Maybe you can get in 10.000 steps per day?
Hang in there, things will improve!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

HI Simonne, The cortisone wont affect my weight, its given directly into the bursitis in the shoulder. I do over 10000 steps every day as I walk my dog and on weekends often gone on hikes with my husband. So walking will be good, but i miss doing weights and playing tennis. Hopefully I will be back soon. thanks for the encouragement. X

Don't be surprised if you do in fact gain from the shot. I gained every time I got one in my shoulder and neck. Good luck!

Walking IS exercise! Gradually try to increase your distance and pace. But the way, I just had that same shot in my shoulder and hip, and it did nothing. So frustrating. No way can I lift weights for arms, I actually think I damaged my shoulder at a Body Pump class. So I'm just walking too.

Walking is good. As long as you can keep doing that you will be fine I'm sure. I walk daily and take 1 yoga class a week but that is all I do :-)

thanks everyone for the advice. Walking is great and keeps you exercising and I walk everyday unless it is raining, which it has been for a few days now, grrr. However because I am not doing weights, the skin is much looser then I would like and my muscle mass has gone down and no matter how far I walk, that doesn't help with these other problems. I just hope that the injection alleviates the pain enough for me to get back into the gym. It is my fault for ignoring the symptoms months ago, because if I had had it soon to earlier it would not be that bad. Oh well, we live and learn.

You've done such a great job! Congratulations. It looks like you may have to take it easy for just a bit to heal up. Good power walking is one of my favorite forms of exercise.
